Pico de Gallo
Ingredients:
Tomato
Onion of choice
Garlic
Cilantro
Limes
Salt
Onion pow
Garlic pow
Cumin
Serrano pepper or jalapeno
Instructions:
One thing you will notice is that there are no amounts! The reason for that is that the amounts will change depending on the size of tomato, the size of onion, the size of cloves of garlic, the size of the limes and how juicy or not juicy they are, the size of the bunch of cilantro! It all varies. The biggest thing to remember about pico is that the ratios need to be in balance.
E.g. 1 small roma tomato isn’t going to balance with even just a half of a red onion, that will be too much onion!
Chop tomato, onion, and pepper to around the same size as each other, save the garlic which you will want to mince.
Mix all together and squeeze lime over the top.
Sprinkle spices over everything and mix well
Refrigerate 20 mins or so and then enjoy!
