Cashew Butter
Ingredients:
Raw cashews (amount unspecified bc idk how much you want in the end!)
Pinch of salt
Optional: teaspoon of sugar
***I’ll be honest I regularly use roasted cashews and don’t add salt at all. But they do not release oil as well so the butter is more crumbly than spreadable. I use this more for cooking than I do eating straight.***
Instructions:
Using a food processor or a high speed blender put desired amount of cashews and a pinch of salt in and blend until it becomes a paste and the nuts have started to release their oil. Occasionally you may have to scrape the sides down the sides of the container so it continues to mix. During this process you may have to stop and let the motor cool off so it doesn’t overheat. This process will take probably 10-15 minutes total of on and off blitzing time.
